There are surfeit of fly fishing flies that can be found in any fishing tackle shop. It is very difficult to know from where to start looking for flies and which to buy. In fly fishing, particular types of flies are used for catching picky types of fishes. These various fly types are well-known as patterns. There is an array of patterns used for fly fishing. Hence, the type of flies depends upon the kind of fish targeted and the surrounding conditions.

The person who starts fly fishing for the first time, does not have relevant information about the flies and their uses. Hence, the beginner is supposed to gain some information on good fly casting techniques. A person can make use of the flies on the water by self-practicing it.

Types of Flies:

• Wet Fishing Flies: These fishing flies look like certain insects when they glance underneath the water surface. • Poppers/ Sliders: These types of fly fishing flies are extension of bass bugs and offshore lures and teasers. These flies prove to be effective when the water is relatively cloudy.
